In show business there's a saying, and sort of a joke. "We're running out of daylight!"

Well, that's exactly the conundrum Agent 001 found himself in yesterday. After taking delivery of his new iPhone Xs and getting it set up, it was getting late. But that didn't deter him from still getting a batch of pics live on the site.

It was actually a great test though. That's because he could explore the limits of the Xs' low light capability.

And as photographers, color us impressed. The amount of detail and, overall quality of the snaps in the dark is impressive. I reckon you'd have difficulty capturing these moments as well with a DSLR camera.

I know, I've been there — with a DSLR — and had trouble.

Ummmm, recent reviews of the overpriced by $500 Xs say that the Pixel 2, yes 2, as in TWO, beats it. Pixel 3 will be out in less than a month > tells ya something.

The bee closeup is impressive if true closeup and not just cropped image. Rest look mostly average, though lighting was poor. Try to keep the bright fixtures out of view and different angles to minimize reflections.

that phone is garbage...Its ok to like Apple, don't make them out to be something they are not though. They are great a marketing, not delivering earth shattering technology. They are better at building one somebody's else accomplishments that is why their phones are always behind.

I coworker has a Samsung S9 in the large size. It is the heaviest phone I have ever held in my hand. You could never wear it in a suit jacket chest pocket as it would just pull the fabric and ruin the look. But for older eyes, you can't beat the larger size.
