RENDERED SPECULATION: IF Cadillac Were To Produce An XT4 V-Series, Would YOU Give It A Second Look?

RENDERED SPECULATION: IF Cadillac Were To Produce An XT4 V-Series, Would YOU Give It A Second Look?
You'd have to have blinders on to not see what's going on in today's automotive landscape. Sedans are out and sport-utility vehicles are in.

And that doesn't just account for the mainstream stuff. That also includes the high-performance sport sedans that made a name for themselves.

Enter even more high-performance SUVs.

If I've said it once, I've said it 1,000 times: If there's one thing General Motors does right, it's high-performance vehicles. I do have a thing for the Cadillac V-Series vehicles. The CTS-V and ATS-V are impressive machines. Then there's the C7 Corvette, which deserves a round of applause on its own.

So, what is Cadillac's all-new XT4 SUV was given the V treatment? In a world where the BMW X3 is getting its own dedicated M model and the Mercedes-AMG GLC63 exists, why not?

To give you a better idea of what could be, check out the renders done up by All Car News.

Not my type of vehicle, but it looks pretty cool! I rarely say that about any GM product.

Most of the reviews I've been reading say what I've said a thousand times, GM gives their customers "just enough". THey say the interior is barely what is needs to be, which would be class leading. Would a V version be in my garage, this size is not for me at all, so no...

Put the goddamn tail lights where they belong! You're not Volvo.

Would take a hard look at it. The styling is different enough to stand out from the crowd that all look pretty much the same except for Lexus which I don't like at all. Depends on interior and infotainment system.

I am not a small Crossover fan - I do not see the point. THey are primarily front wheel drive raised station wagons - that are too small to be of real use to me.
If I want a 4x4 - I would buy an Escalade - the next one coming will have independent rear suspension.

Why anyone would lease an XT4 over an NX is beyond me. Hell, even the insufferably dull MKC is better.

A V version won't save the day with this loser. The XT4 needs 3 more inches of wheelbase given entirely to the back seat. The rear overhang needs to be extended 6 inches. The same is true of the XT5. Both are so close quartered that they are ungainly looking.

If Caddie made a V-version, they'd charge about $60K for it. No thanks. It would be appealing.....at $45K, but the non-V can be optioned up to $50K so not a chance.

I like all things V in terms of style and even a 2dr SUV would work for me. I am curious about this one and the upcoming Blazer

I like Caddy. They've developed their own "brand" of luxury...just like Corvette has its own "brand" of performance.

These days, when I hear V-series & now V-sport, I honestly get excited b/c I know either trim is getting a fabulously powerful engine, suspension tweeks, exterior trim adds, etc. But I do know when I see them on the street. Reserved luxury features & performance that can hurt a lot of feelings.

I think I'm mature enough to own any V-er or V-sp now.

Their styling is better than Mercedes now, IMO. Not feeling anything for anything from MB these days...

I got a picture of one in cammo, last week when I was in Detroit. How do I upload this?
