Beating BMW has now become a bore for the Model 3. Where's Honda Civic ?

$10k LESS than the BMW M3 Competition too.... and walks away every time from a stop. Simply a crushing defeat for the almighty M3.

dinosaur engines.. your days are numbered. In the near future, your only sales will be to long haul trucks and heavy duty livery.

All these testimonials are really nice and interesting, but I won't be a believer until a reputable reviewing organization - Car and Driver, Automobile, Road & Track, etc. actually does a real comparison test between a Model 3 performance, BMW M3/4, MB C63 AMG, etc. etc.

We are not talking "its great based on the 10 minute ride I took at the Tesla press event".....

We need "the Model 3 Performance has been evaluated over a two week period in Car and Driver's standard comparison test for performance cars protocol...and here are the results"

To the best of my knowledge (and as recently confirmed in writing by Car and Driver in a recent issue), Tesla has NEVER agreed to provide a test vehicle for participation in a comparison test.

That's really the only objective way to see how it measures up.

I won't hold my breath.

Do you honestly think in the world of in the tank media and fake news do you think the dying print old media is going to throw their biggest advertisers under the bus?

I mean honestly if you don't realize that an award like the MT Car of The Year isn't the the best award money can buy then there is no hope for you.

They've been under the car companies thumbs since long before Auto Spies started in 2002.

We've seen it first hand. They DO what they're told or they don't get the cover shot and scoop their competitors, etc.

Tesla doesn't give any of them a dime.

Agreed to a point, but in a comparison test, there is always a first, second, third, fourth, etc. There is some modicum of objectivity, though the bias is always there in the background.

Tesla doesn't want to be third or fourth.

Why won't they provide a test vehicle for a comparison test?

Put them on a real track like Laguna Seca or Willow Springs for about 10 laps and tell me who ends up on top. That golf cart will be begging for mercy.
