The facts will show I never compromised my integrity in any way: Musk

Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Thursday called the SEC's allegations of fraud "unjustified" and said he acted in the best interests of investors.

"This unjustified action by the SEC leaves me deeply saddened and disappointed," Musk said in a statement to CNBC. "I have always taken action in the best interests of truth, transparency and investors. Integrity is the most important value in my life and the facts will show I never compromised this in any way."

Do you think the fraud charge amount to anything more than a stiff fine or a slap on the wrist??

Spies, discuss....

I give it a 50/50 chance he'll get off Mark Cuban or Reed Hastings style. In the chance things go bad, likely there will be some sort of compromise versus the SEC's recommended penalties.

His arrogance is only surpassed by his arrogance.

Like most entrepreneurs he is NOT a manager and Tesla would be better served with a more seasoned pro at this pivotal turning point if the company is to survive.

Musk committed securities fraud - and cost investors Billions of dollars - and the resulting fines alone will be in the Hundreds of Millions

Musk had his chance to settle - and chose not to - which means this is going to be ugly - but in the end - it is the investors that lost the money -that will keep after him personally and the company as well.

Rules are there for a reason. Unless he has documentation to show he has $70 billion lined up, then he is guilty of manipulating the market.
