SPIED! The All-new Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Gets NABBED In The States, But There's One Small Problem...
It wasn't too long ago that Mercedes-Benz took the covers off of its all-new GLE-Class sport-utility vehicle. Even though the current-gen product is a hot seller, it didn't stop the three-pointed star from taking the vehicle in a newer direction.
Out are the hard creases. In are more soft, flowing lines.

Frankly, I like where the all-new GLE is going. In addition, its improved interior looks to me like it may be the class leader in its respective segment.
So it was a bit surprising to see the all-new GLE wandering around SoCal equipped, head-to-toe, in camouflage. MBUSA, what are you trying to hide here?Just peel off the wrap and let us see the car in the flesh, will you?
From what we can tell, it appears to be a gasoline-fed variant.

Because this camo’ed GLE is being tested for emission & durability by MBRDNA (Research & Development North America) which is operated by the headquarter Diamler AG. These prototypes have been running around for months 24/7 worldwide under different conditions in the real world. MBUSA is just a distributor of the end product.

The new GLE is going to be very popular.
Excellent SUV vehicles such as this GLE, is the reason that S-Class sales are down, not because people are substituting Tesla's for MB's.

Noting that the S class has been out for 4 years (With a slight refresh last year) - I think that those sales are down normally because of the time on the market. It is normal for very high end cars because they are viable longer - they don't change radically on the refresh.

Lemme guess, this will look exactly like a larger GLC? Perhaps that lame turbo 4 will be std, vinyl interior and everything one would really want on the car will be optional? There is no "engineering excellence" or value w/MB any longer, simply a good car that has a star on it... Not interested in this vehicle especially for what it will cost, but many will be.

For about $8,000 less, a similarly equipped Volvo is a way better luxury experience inside. Granted its engine is less refined, but the seating experience is just grand.

I love the way the Volvo looks and the interior is simply gorgeous, but yes, the powertrain has always, IMO, been a ?. The turbo/supercharged 4 cyl just seems to be a frankenstein waiting to happen? Give me a normally aspirated 6 anyday...

This car was already revealed about a week ago. Nothing to see.

right. i was fairly certain that the new GLE pics had already been posted online. the need for spy shots is kinda moot. Unless they're shots for the AMG GLE.
