Cash In That Retirement? Iranians Clone The $450,000 Lamborghini Murcielago With Plans For Production

A startup in the country has unveiled a carbon copy of the Murcielago SV, a $450,000 supercar that ended production in 2010.

Team leader Masoud Moradi told STNews.irthat the mid-engine coupe is the result of a four-year effort that used authentic CAD designs to recreate the vehicle, but did not reveal how he obtained the data.

Its certainly an infringement, illegal and not able to be exported to most every country in the world without serious repercussions. The Iranian economy is suffering, the rial has lost 2/3rds of its value in a six month period, the citizens are near revolt and with new even more severe banking sanctions ready to kick in in Nov, this is how they deploy their limited capital resources.
