RENDERED SPECULATION: IF You're NOT Happy With The Latest Chevrolet Corvette (C8) Spy Shots, Check Out THIS 3D Model...
For several months now there's been an exceeding amount of buzz surrounding the all-new Chevrolet Corvette. Now equipped with a mid-engine layout, it is significantly different than what has ever been considered a Corvette before.

Do you hear that? It's the sound of change, Spies.

While there's been a plethora of spy shots released that show the C8 from a variety of angles and at varying levels of depth, I think it's safe to say that most are not completely sold on these images just yet. They're not the clearest, they're lacking some fine detail and the camouflage make it hard to decipher the lines.

Thankfully, the internet exists.

One particularly resourceful fan of the Corvette has done something we haven't quite seen before. According to their YouTube page, they applied the use of photogrammetry to spy videos of the C8 to mock up a three-dimensional image of the C8's body. Talk about some serious spy work!

The end result is below and, truly, the visualization is spectacular. From what I've seen so far, this seems to be the most accurate representation yet.

What say you, Spies? Do YOU think this is accurate? Do YOU like what you see?

I like the idea of a mid - engine Corvette. Every picture I have looked at is Fugly. 2D or 3D, the styling needs some help.

I do wish Chevy the Best Of Luck with this car.

if that's accurate, it's utterly horrible. Mid engined cars can look so ungainly and fat. This is a prime example of how not to style a Corvette. The face is generic Corvette. The side is 50 shades of wrong. The tail looks like it came from a cheap Camaro of a few years back,

Chevrolet will not initially have a problem at all selling ALL the new mid-engine Corvettes that it can - even if they pull a Tesla and only make high end versions first. In fact - I would expect a long waiting list for the cars too - and unlike some others cars - they will be profitable from the get-go.

Did any Corvette BUYERS actually ask for a mid-engine C8? Have deposits been taken? I would have never approved this over a Corvette SUV. A halo car for the brand does not need its own halo.

Locally, sales of front-engined Corvettes is up in response to this. I've lost "my" Z06 twice.

@MD Imagine that. There is a guy I see at the supermarket who shops with his bright blue Grand Sport with a red/black interior. Handy to have all that space under the hatch.

I'm trying to buy a Z06, but just when I'm about to pay the price, someone walks in and wants one. I'll get one, but I'm already speeding up some flips to get the Shelby Mustang GT500KR. Behind the scenes, I can get a Ford a lot easier than a Chevy.

CC: I do not know if deposits have been taken. I do know of 1 car company that took 400,000 deposits to fund on going operations and it was not GM.

I mean, it's not a bad looking car. Maybe a bit of extra body that it doesn't need. But not bad. However, it doesn't look original. It has a very generic mid-engine-sports-car look about it and could easily be mistaken for a mid-engine Ferrari or McClaren at first glance.

ZERO Corvette DNA.

CC, to quote Henry Ford, "If I asked customers what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse." The market is heading in a different direction. Chevrolet has wrung out about all the performance they can from the current layout.

Not interested in a pushrod motor regardless of what it sits in. GM can do better. Even your aunt Sadie's Corolla has a more modern design.
