VW already stands out, but not in a good way. Authors of the 2015 Dieselgate scandal. Ongoing emissions cheats and fraud. Monkeygate. Unflattering reliability and defects numbers, and not treating their customers well are just some of the things that make Volkswagen the Volkswagen we know... but not in a good way.

Frankly - I have virtually NO interest in ANY car from VW anymore.
I suppose I would consider a Bentley but I have my last truly large car already - as well as the one before it.

I was never a Porsche devotee - I would always prefer a Ferrari. THe early Porsches were a handful to drive - while the Ferrari's of that time were Bliss.

And the VW brand - which they are trying to take upmarket - simply does not press any buttons for me. Audi seems to be stuck somewhere in the Past - their new cars look like the old ones - only more money.

Is this another VW crossover not designed with the USA in mind?

Pleeeease! They could not give us a decent Passat in the US and they are having a hard time rolling out the Arteon.

The Farteon is $10K overpriced at the projected numbers. If it were a $25K Passat replacement, it might be something but even then it's just too generic. Why spend Audi A4 money on a VW Farteon?
