RECALL ALERT: Nearly 1.5 Million Ford Focus Vehicles May Be At Risk For Stalling

Ford Motor is recalling 1.46 million Ford Focus cars in North America to fix a defect that could lead to stalling.

The recall affects the 2012 through 2018 model-year Focus with 2-liter GDI and 2-liter GTDI engines.

Wasn't that canister purge valve manufactured by a sub contractor of Chevrolet?

Sorry - but there are LOTS of different Canister Purge valves made - and I have not found one that is used by both GM and FORD (That does not mean there isn't one - but it also means it is unlikely)

Lots of vehicles have had Cannister Purge Valve failure - the F150 has a history of them. THE Most basic reason why many fail - is that people attempt to fill their gas tank again after the initial shut off - which can cause them to fail
