CAR WARS! Do The Audi RS3 And BMW M2 Stand A Chance Against American Muscle In Form Of The Camaro 1LE?
In the world of sports cars, the Audi RS3 and the BMW M2 certainly make a helluva case for themselves. They're compact, super powerful and they punch above their weight.

But, if you've wanted something a bit more substantial, you may be a bit disappointed.

That's because neither vehicles are equipped with V8s and their interiors aren't quite spacious. There is a fix for that though. That would include the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro. Given that the 5.0 GT has a track package and the Camaro can be optioned with the 1LE kit, they can be even more fine tuned for track duty as well.

The only way to really know which vehicle rules this sports car battle, the folks at Throttle House decided to get the RS3, M2 and 1LE together. Unfortunately, no luck for the Mustang. Considering I was cross-shopping an M2 with the GT350, these comparisons do happen in the real world, Spies.

That said, we want to know: WHICH entry-level high-performance vehicle would YOU pick?

SO many of you asked for this, so here it is! James and Thomas test the 2018 Audi RS3 against the 2019 BMW M2 Competition, and the Camaro SS 1LE.... Which one is the most fun? And which one is the best to live with....

It's the Car and Driver mentality. A BMW is in the comparison test and it's not the best choice by any rational examination, but in the end they say "Itsa BMW" and crown in prom queen. For the price of the BMW you could easily have a ZL1 which would scorch the BMW for all measures of performance, but the base SS can do that so it's icing on the cake.

A stock Mustang GT is a good match for the German mess, but a GT350 would kill it with money to spare.

Typical anti-BMW bigotry. Every respectable magazine, online tests etc... all say the M2 competition is the bees knees. I don’t believe there is some vast BMW conspiracy out there. I haven’t driven the RS3 but have the regular M2 and a Camaro SS 1LE and I think the way they summed the two up was about right. I have driven other Audi hot rods including an RS5 and I thought their summary of the RS3 could have been written for the RS5. All are great cars with differences that helped them compete in the market. Camaro is a beast and does not hide it, it is cheap inside and it is like riding in an M1 Abrams tank. The Audi is a great all weather car, a bit clinical but very nice inside and dives great up to 8/10ths. The M2 is a bit more of a brute in a suit attitude, Nice interior, excellent engine (even better in the new one) handles fantastic, but probably not your first choice when it snows. All great cars, nice review.

#1 You're a car bigot
#2 You can't drive any of them at the limit because you are incompetent to do so.
