Obviously... could be that they don't advertise. The S is expensive and the 3 did have quite a few issues in 2017.

THis article was from November 2017 - when you add in 3 months lead time for the magazine - and add in even more time for testing - the Model 3 Came out in late July 2017 and likely was not part of the consideration because it was not available AT THE TIME of the tests.

By that time - the Model S was already an old car as well - introduced in 2012. Also remember that only the base Model S would come in under $80,000 - with the high performance version topping $94,000 - it was likely not considered due to price being over the Max

So - it is still possible that lack of advertising had nothing to do with the result - but I would guess that it was a consideration
