Coachbuilder Renders A Tesla Model S Roadster - Could It Give The Germans A Run For The Money?

More renderings of future products from Ares Design have landed on the internet. The Modena-based coachbuilder fronted by Dany Bahar and already mooting a retro Ferrari 412-inspired GTC4 Lusso and reborn DeTomaso Pantera is now mulling a more modern-looking product. It’s a drop-top Tesla Model S.

Interestingly, Ares has chosen to brand it the Tesla Model S ‘Roadster’, not ‘Cabriolet’ or ‘Convertible’. But don’t be confused – this has nothing to do with Tesla’s own plans for a 250mph, 0-60mph in 1.9sec Roadster.

THey can't - THey are getting paid to do it - it should have been obvious to you a couple of years ago

AS far as the ARES concept - there is no indication that they even have interest in the design

Until Tesla demonstrates an ability to make money on cars when there are NO tax incentives for the customer - we will not have any idea the extent of the EV market - but one thing is for sure - there are still no real affordable evs - they remain a rich man's venue.

4 of the last 6 articles are about Tesla. Today they shook up their board again! Another CFO joining soon. Not the type of changes a well run company makes.

The board change was required by the SEC, think it was a solid choice. The new chair (Telestra CFO) is also moving to Tesla full-time over the next 6 months. Will be like they have 2 CFOs.

A Tesla luxobarge coupe would be an obvious product along with a convertible version.
