How Does BMW’s M340i Compare Against The Mercedes-AMG C43 And Audi S4?

BMW’s seventh-generation 3-Series is looking poised to take its segment by storm, with a new M340i version here to keep us warm until the M3 flagship comes along.

The M340i happens to be the most powerful 3-Series version (short of the M3) that BMW has ever built, thanks to a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight six, putting out 374 PS (368 HP) to go with its 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. On top of that, you can have it with rear-wheel drive or an xDrive all-wheel drive system.

That BMW look horrible. I don't know what the author is talking about with tech in the BMW either. I would pick the S4, Benz and then the BMW out of this group. The S4 might be "subdued" but at least it is not butt Lexus ugly like the new 3 series. I can't believe they did that to that car.

Also the author might want to look at the hang position on the steering wheel before talking about the visibility of the paddle shifters. Actually how actually looks at them while shifting or after getting in the car for the first few times. smh…

The new 3 series is by far the worst looking inside and out. Horrible choice by BMW to basically take the same exterior design and tack on ridiculous looking fascia pieces. Also, not a huge issue, but why fake exhausts on a M (lite) model? From early reviews it may very well be the best to drive, but that remains to be seen

@lexsucks the more I look it the more I come to the same conclusion. It is a very boring looking car, then they went and tacked on these ridiculous trim pieces. It looks even worse than a lot of the stuff Lexus does because at least with Lexus it is a somewhat cohesive design.

The Audi looks 15 years old and the c looks 5 years old. I would take the 340 solely based on how deadly boring the other two looks.

I could live with the Audi interior but not with the Benz. The bmw interior actually looks nice to me.
