The world does not need a 650hp RX model. Or one 1.5X its size with 3 rows.

Shouldn't they be aiming at their primary rivals from Germany first? It's great to have lofty goals but the Cayenne Turbo S, GLE63 AMG, and X5M/X6M should be the bogies. The reality is that Lexus hasn't been able to take Porsche, AMG, M or RS with any of their "high performance" vehicles so.....

Lexus need to start by creating much less ugly vehicles.

There is more to it than just performance numbers...heritage, emotional connection, celebrity, movie roles, race provenance, etc. etc. Even if Lexus should outsell them it will never have their verve and panache. Ask any teenager,
spouse, girlfriend, parent, sibling or kid which one they would want, price no object? Who would choose the Lexus? Case closed.

Having said all that, there is nothing wrong with Lexus making a LEXUS RX-X that is as big as the LX570 but a unibody and very modern like the Velar for the folks who a big truck like the LX570 does not appeal to.

False news to start with. Lexus knows better not to go there

Why would Lexus target a niche that sells in the dozens?

Typical Lexus driver wants a smooth, quiet driving experience. Cadillac, under Bob Lutz, chased BMW for years instead of focusing on RX/ES market. Caddy's money spent on a performance quest would have been better used in the interior.

Lexus and Toyota have more experience making SUV's the both of those crappy cars combined. To make it high performance is easy. I say yes.
It also will be priced at a value and not break down.

Notice the question didn't include AMG or M-power.

How fast can a 4 wheel shoe box go? Who really cares?

Lexus needs a unibody SUV with longitudinal engine and Rear wheel drive. Body on frame is good but not sporty to drive.
