Witness The Jaguar I-Pace Walk Through A 5 Star EURO Crash Rating

Jaguar announced that its first all-electric vehicle, the I-PACE, has achieved a 5-star safety rating with Euro NCAP.

The electric SUV is still slowly rolling out in a few markets as they ramp up production.

In the meantime, they gave a few units to Euro NCAP to crash test the SUV.

This week, the agency announced that the Jaguar I-PACE achieved a 5-star safety rating.

There is really no excuse for any new vehicle not to have 5 stars. It isn't rocket science. Just metals and where and how you use it.

Wow. Better than Tesla. Who would have imagined that a company with experience designing cars would know how to design cars properly? Does Elon know this?

The next time you are inside a building - driving a car through a completely controlled acceleration sequence and hitting something at a precise angle calculated In advance and known to all who make the cars so they can engineer their cars to pass these tests - congrats on buying a car based on these BOGUS tests.

THe problems remain
1 - THERE is still NO statistical analysis of real world crashes that verify that cars that do well on these BOGUS tests actually are more safe in the real world.
2 - The likelyhood that you will actually be in an accident that even comes close to the conditions of these tests is - and has been admitted to be - NONE.

Among the things these tests miss - is that these tests do not take into consideration that it in the real world - accidents among different SIZE vehicles actually happen - and size of a vehicle can overcome engineering for crash tests.
