Looks Like Taycan First Year Production Is Already Sold Out A Year Ahead Of Release

The Porsche Taycan is still roughly a year away from reaching dealerships, yet, according to the German carmaker, it’s already shaping up to be an exceptional success.

Speaking with CNET during the recent LA Auto Show, Porsche North America president and chief executive Klaus Zellmer said that the company has been flooded with pre-orders for the all-electric sedan.

While he didn’t give a number, he said that if all the pre-orders turn into sales, the Taycan has already been sold out for the first year.

I think it's funny how SanCarlosJoseAsshatterDriver has been bashing the Germans and now all of a sudden is praising them. Is he kissing up to be a paid suck boy for another company when Tesla goes belly up here pretty soon?

I've always praised the Mission E, but stay in your hate-filled fantasy land.

Elon went out of his way this week to talk down and express his disparaging feelings toward the SEC while expressing his non conventional views on being a CEO. Message alert to Mr Musk...What goes around comes around. The SEC has a long memory and payback is a bitch. Be careful, very careful because next time you will feel their wrath.

Sold out to WHO? A dealer can not sell what they do not have numbers for and no dealer knows how many Tycan they are getting. How can Zelmer claim the production is sold out?? While I am sure the Tycan will be a success, this is pure B. S. in that the product is unpriced, production count is not set and the dealers know nothing more than this site does about the upcoming product launch...
I call B S.... and wishful thinking... this Arrogance about the product is both good and bad, many will not bother to ask for a car that is sold out and Porsche will have unsold units sitting, the opposite of what this idiot is claiming... tell the truth, Zellmer is boasting like a kid that has yet to take his exams.. and no one gets an A+ until the customers spend their hard earned money on the cars he claims are sold out.. show me the deposits.

20,00 units annual worldwide, dealerships ready to pull their shenanigans with limited run cars Deposits that put you higher on the waiting list depending on how $$$ much your deposit actually is, and Admin fees, PDI fees, additional "Market Markup" fees... it will be interesting to see actually how much it takes to get one in your driveway from a dealer when released.
