Is Buick Hard At Work On ANOTHER Crossover?

It looks like General Motors filed a telling trademark for a potential upcoming Buick crossover. GM Authority spotted the Dec. 11 filing, which requests to trademark "Enspire" and signals the trademark is applicable to “automobiles, excluding motor homes.”

The naming convention for all of Buick's crossovers start with “En,” such as the Encore, Envision and Enclave. The noted exception is the Regal TourX, which is essentially a raised Regal wagon with plastic cladding.

Buick should cross over an Audi and a Hyundai. The quality and design of Audi and the price point of Hyundai. A sure winner!

Skytop, Audis tend to be more reliable than VWs but that doesn't mean they are quality. And in terms of design Audi could be the most boring brand with only a few exceptions in their lineup.

If nobody wants to Sedans and only a few people want EV’s, but everyone wants SUVs… And supposedly the market is moving to EV’s… This would seem like a good move. I’ll be amazed if GM gets it right…

Agreed.

Fanatics scoff at Buick sedans, so GM promptly discontinued them. Since Chevy has the upcoming Trailblazer, makes sense to do a sporty Buick version.

BTW, if you like the larger GM sedans, keep your eye on the Lacrosse/Lacrosse Avenir & Regal GS. They're nice cars with respectable power, acceleration, & a handful of upscale touches that makes the daily-grind livable.

THe move to Crossovers from Sedans is not happening at the same pace around the world. In a lot of countries - really small cars sell because the people cannot afford larger vehicles. At the same time - there is NO evidence yet - that the market is moving to EVs and we still do not have anywhere near sufficient infrastructure to support a 10% more of the market to EVs.

THere was a time when Gm could simply be "close" to the target - and their superior styling and merchandising won out in the end. However - that time has passed them by. THe most important vehicles of their line were a MAJOR MISS this year - and their sedans were always a generation behind Honda and Toyota.
THe new HD Chevy Trucks are an example of horrid styling along with Barely Good enough technology - when FOrd and Ram move forward.

GM cannot afford another big miss - and it MUST IMMEDIATELY move to solve the problems with their Pick-ups -= or we might see GM disappear

Indeed and it's price point should have made it a Buick or Cadillac.
