DRIVEN: Time To Cancel That I-Pace Order - Audi E-Tron Crossover Gets Run Through The Paces

The Audi E-Tron is the first production battery-powered SUV from Ingolstadt.

It has nothing in common with other E-Tron-branded vehicles, except for the name, and it’s a new arrival to this niche.

Powering it are two electric motors, one on each axle, which get their juice by a 95 kWh battery. In Sport mode, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint takes 5.7 seconds, which is very respectable for a car that weighs 2.5 tons (5,512 lbs).

I saw a Jaguar I-Pace the other day on the road. It was blue. It is a very small SUV. Q5 sized.

As a former Q5 owner, I wouldn't call it small. It's far larger than the "small" crossovers, such as the Kiro or Q3. For size I thought my Q5 was about perfect. I just couldn't live with the local dealer support. Which is why I traded the Q5 for an Outback.
