LEAKED: Mercedes-AMG A45 S To Come With A Blistering 416HP On Tap

HUK24, an online insurance provider, has stored powertrain specs in a drop-down list for the new range-topping A-Class, examples of which were registered for road use in Germany in December.

The details, although unconfirmed officially, reveal that there will be two different power outputs from the car's 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The 'base' model will produce 387PS (382bhp), while the flagship S variant makes 421PS (415bhp). Both will put their power down through all four-wheels, and are set to go on sale later this year.

Nice. It kinda seems MB is pushing the envelope more than BMW nowadays.

Currently driving a 535i and I hate that heavy I6 and extra moment inertia up front. Hopefully one day I'll see a 540i with 360hp from a 2.0 I4

This just reiterates how good the Hyundai Veloster N is. It will cost half as much, give 90% of the performance, and be much more reliable.

The Veloster N finishes second to the Honda Type R in head to head comparisons so lets wait for a head to head with the A45 S before drawing any conclusions.
