VWAG probably doesn't want another scandal so they are now reporting Audi sales accurately.

Audi’s entry level care really dropped the ball for the brand, in December alone, the Q3, A3, A4, and A5 so big losses, while surprisingly Audi’s higher end models picked up the slack

Not saying they are doing anything odd. But when the sales are good the report is ready first thing in the morning, when they are bad or really close they wait until the end of the day.

We knew this was bound to happen (Silvercar, round stats, etc). However, I’m impressed by the 6 and 7 selling at those levels.
A4 is a flop. And who the heck buys A8s?

The problem with the A4 is that it's not enough car for a whole lot of money.

I'd combine the A4/5/6 into an A5 model sized like an A6 and priced like an A4, but with an excellent value for the amount of standard equipment.

I'd drop the A8, make the A7 the top ICE sedan and drop it's price down.

For sedans to sell, they are going to have to offer size and value that is tempting.

New EU emission test slowed down sales for most companies toward end of year. Manufacturers couldn't release cars from inventory and buyers were waiting for new changes to be effected.

The entire Audi lineup is outsold by the Model 3 by 3000 units. Are people holding out for the e-tron thingy ?

Wow...their sales have taken a nosedive. A6/7 sales jumped because they had huge incentives to move the 2018s...you could get close to 30% off MSRP on the cars they needed to move (A6 2.0T lease specials) last month

Getting 30% off Audi sedans is for the asking.

because nobody realizes that the new models of existing vehicles is affecting sales? morons

Since EU production was held up, I would think they would shift production to NA models.

These sales are pretty awful for Audi. I think the new A8 should help a bit once it gets going. The new Q3 will boost sales too. Audi is paying a big price though for its stagnating design and dual touch screen that not every one cares for.

The interiors need to be re-designed.

Are you nuts? The A8 will never give Audi anywhere near the volume it needs. The new A8 will be as dead for sales as the one it replaces.

Audi is paying big time for new cars that look like older versions of the ones they are replacing.

Go check out the A8 at your local Audi Stealer. It looks like a fancy Hyundai/Genesis. Interior is small for the class and its basically a 4-seater because the center tunnel is so huge.

The A8 looks like a massively bloated Elantra.

I find the new G90 to be much more compelling to look at than the A8 and the G90 is far from ideal looking.

Look most sedans sales numbers are dropping. BMW's 3 series overall sedan sales have dropped by 47% since 2014. SUVs/and CUV's are the profit generator now.
