Audi Plots To Steal BMW's Brand Chief

BMW's former head of brand and product management, Hildegard Wortmann, may be heading to Audi, German press reports said.

If confirmed, Wortmann would strengthen new Audi CEO Bram Schot’s management team at a time when the brand is falling behind rivals Mercedes-Benz and BMW in the race to be the global luxury-car leader.

I can hear it now: "BMW is stumbling badly right now with one botched car after another. Let's hire someone with a bad track record." She'll probably get fired from Audi then go to Infiniti then get fired there then go to Cadillac and then get fired there.

BMW was the only one of the big 3 German luxury marques to increase sales in 2018. I am not a fan of recent BMW vehicles, but this detail no doubt attracted Audi who seems to be looking to find a stronger identity.
