One Canadian Lamborghini Urus Owner Has A BUMPY Start With Their Ride...
A Lamborghini Urus brought into a Canadian dealership for spelling errors in its infotainment system is now experiencing some weird electrical problems after a software update.

The problems all started when Instagram user @torontocarnut realized his new Urus’ infotainment system misspelled its maker “Lanborghini,” along with a couple other errors, according to Carbuzz.

He took the vehicle into a dealership, where it should have been fixed with relative ease, but that’s when the real issues started...

Nice to see the Lamborghini dealer offered to take back the car. Top drawer customer service. Now about that right of first refusal letter.... :/

@MD I think the real story on the Urus is just how much power they can get out of that 4.0L Biturbo engine. Where is the upper limit if it isn't 630hp? 200hp/1L?

And then it goes kaboom

800cc MotoGP bikes put out 240hp or 300hp per liter. The definitive answer to how much power you can get out of an engine is and always has been "how much power do you want, how much do you want to spend?"

The better question is why do you want an engine that is that high strung?

Precisely. ?I think BMW F1 M12/M13 motors in the early 1980's had 1,500hp from 1.5 turbo engines in qualifying trim. Even if you have a warranty and a good dealer, do you really want your engine to grenade on the drive home? As displacement is exchanged for forced induction, how highly tuned your ride is needs to be front and centre in your decision making.

I agree if you plan on keeping car long term. If however on a short term lease or you flip after warranty ends, why not.

True, but what THAT suggests is that car ownership may be going out the window with a lot of buyers.

A track record of exploding engines will definitely impact lease residuals, putting buyers/lessees in sort of the same spot, assuming the owner just trades it on something else.

I would love for someone to do the inevitable "Italian Performance" SUV comparo-test!

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifolglio vs Lambo Uranus vs Maserati Levante GTS (Ferrari V8).

I suspect the Stelvio wins?

The Stelvio Quadrapleggio would obviously nuke the Maserati Magnum and likely provide 100% of the performance of the Lamborghini Touareg for 1/3 the price...that is if it doesn't go into the limp mode.

The Dodge LX comes through loud and clear on the Maserati. Between it and the Stelvio, the Stelvio is far better. The Uterus is just too ugly to drive.

I wonder if someone hacked into this guy's info system and caused this problem.
