And the hits keep on coming. VW has done remarkably well following this scandal despite a tab exceeding $50 billion but its not over yet.

Only is Fascist-Socialist idiocy is this possible.

VW sells a police department diesel vehicles that presumably were not banned at the time of sale. THEN the municipality bans diesels and subsequently sues VW for damages. How utterly asinine.

If the diesels were legal for sale when they were purchased, how can VW he held accountable for eccentricities of dogmatic greenie socialists doing their #SJW happy dance?

@MD- I don't think it is so much green party attitudes as it is the MO of people who get a tiny bit of power when they hold local office and run wild with it. I see it in my area where a small group controls the look and feel of century homes off of Main Street. They will tell you what wood to use, what colour the house "should be" if it should have shutters or not and they may "recommend" these shutters be plain, have stars or flowers cut into them. I would rather live in a tent then have to deal with these people. The town is even named on your deed. Pass.

Its called a homeowners association. So many of them have these Draconian rules. However in Germany this is a slightly larger issue. It will be interesting to see if this holds up in a German court.
