FIRST LOOK: Mercedes 2020 CLA Looks Like A Baby CLS

An Australian news outlet broke the embargo for the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA, giving us an early look at the new compact four-door coupe.

Scheduled to be officially revealed at CES later today, the second-generation CLA has “evolution” written all over it. Mercedes‘ designers decided not to mess with a recipe that worked well, so they focused on improving the previous model’s looks inside and out. And boy did they improve them.

Stylistically, this is a major improvement to the CLA. It now looks like a Mercedes rather than a Renault Megane masquerading as a Mercedes.

Wonder how they'll price it, everything in the MB stable is $40K and up. Still this is a huge improvement and I'm sure it will have good driving dynamics.

It looks the same to me. The front wheels look too small for the large front overhang.

Same here, I don’t see any dramatic styling changes. Need to get my eyes checked perhaps. Interior looks nicer for sure.

I like it. Cleaner than previous, though still evoking very similar design approach. Interior worlds better.
Will be interesting to see where sales go between it and the sedan.
