A Bucktoothed Wonder? Restyled BMW 7-Series Images Leak Online

Images showing the full styling of the facelifted BMW 7 Series have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, revealing larger kidney grilles influenced by the new X7 SUV.

The new images were posted by BMW Blog, which says they were uploaded early to a BMW online configurator. As well as showing the car's front end undisguised, the images also unveil its side and rear profile.

The updated luxury saloon's new nostrils are accompanied by sharper exterior styling that includes slimmer headlights and tail-lights.

Is it me or is this design already aging prematurely...

The grille is too big and goes up too far on the hood. It BMW wants to be a sportier alternative to someone who feels the Merc S is too stuffy, this will not do it.

WHERE IS BANGLE WHEN WE NEED HIM? The question isn't who is designing these eyesores -- VonHooeyDonker? The real question is who the fu*k is approving this crap, and why are they letting him/her get away with it?

This is infinitely better than the atrocity that Bangle crapped out his his hole as the BMW 7 and I find this vehicle to be horrendous.

Bangle, Hooydonk, Warming and their copycats. All still at large and need to be held accountable for their crimes at The Hague.

Huge improvement over the existing design - I actually like the bigger twin grills. The rear is also much improved.

Probably not different enough to move the sales needle however.

The rear 3/4 view looks similar to the Acura RLX.

Truthy,
This will probably do the same numbers as the Acura RLX...lol

This is horrendous. Instead of being captivating like the Future Luxury Concept it is as dull as a 5 year old Kia K900. This is epic bad.

Instead of being late to the party, when the entire industry is going for big obtrusive grilles its time to go in a different direction. Looking old and outdated is an understatement. A missed opportunity to standout from the crowd.

Not an attractive vehicle. MB will still reign supreme here.

I've seen some other images and it looks better in more candid shots and in a color other than white.

This 7, and the current one as far as I'm concerned, is very sensitive to color and trim. Not a complement, just a fact.

Also, please, like people commenting online are, by and large, truly able to hand over the cash it would cost to buy this thing? Come on.

Yikes, I don't mind the grill going up into the hood but the super size kidneys just looks bizarre.

An odd thing is happening. BMW is turning into Kia. My first immediate thought was that the profile looks more like the prev gen K900. And the new 8GC looks like an overpriced Stinger. Someone stop the madness over at BMW.

BMW is making the same mistake as Cadillac. They have gorgeous concepts and then rollout blandmobiles unrelated to the concept.
Should learn to manage expectations.

BMW's 7-Series doesn't even try to compete with Mercedes-Benz's S-Class. This facelift version of the 7-Series isn't even out yet and it's dead on arrival. What a pathetic attempt by BMW.
