2020 Corvette Interior Shots Nabbed While Roaming In The Wild

The Chevrolet Corvette is the brand’s flagship and a halo vehicle for General Motors. Unfortunately, the car’s interior hasn’t reflected its status as one of the company’s premier vehicles.

That’s about to change as we’ve bagged the first revealing interior scoops of the 2020 Corvette. Looking far more luxurious than any of its predecessors, the C8 has an all-new cabin with higher quality materials and a significantly improved design.

That interior would be better on a a future Cadillac luxury coupe than the highest performing Corvette variant. The rectangle LCD panel dash sickness that is now infecting the auto industry seems to have arrived here as well. All this new design where tech is featured over sport and function can only help increase the value of older generations of the same car. Not a fan...

Didn't see the seven speed manual....oh yeah, there isn't one!

The gearbox will have more cogs and be infinitely faster shifting than a manual.

The sad face steering wheel with no central arm is a fail as well.

The design is not as bad as the quality of that SHINY leather.

Ugh.

Best Vette interior to date.

I love the super ultra mega closeups that give zero indication whether these disparate pieces form a cohesive whole.

Agreed, no matter how "upscale" GM goes on its interiors it always... ALWAYS falls short... the current C7 is a huge improvement over the C6 which was garbage. I won't say "hopefully" when discussing GM because... well they always disappoint... OK, the CTS-V is simply insane, I love that car...

Nice design, but the quality needs to improve... just look at the seat

Agreed!

That seat looks like it belongs in an Equinox or something.

So, I just took a look at all the pictures.

From the shots we're seeing here, to me this interior looks tragic. The widest shot seems to show no cohesion in its design and then the execution is downright atrocious. Look at the stitching and quality of the materials. Just looks cheap. Hell, the center console work looks kit car-ish and not of OE caliber.

To me, the worst bit is the elevated separator with buttons on top — WTF is that about?

I absolutely agree. In fact, I think it looks terrible.

It's a desperately need upgrade in materials. Not sure about the design though. The exterior looks too derivative IMO.

I cannot think of one GM interior that I universally like. The same is true of my opinion of their styling.

Appearance sells. Appearance can make a so-so car a blockbuster and an excellent car a sales dud.

Attractive does not cost more.

GM interiors have always seemed to be cobbled together from various parts from interiors of other cars.

While Ford isn't exactly perfect either, it fares slightly better, but still.

If this Corvette is going to be $100K or more, the interior cannot look like a hodge-podged mess from a malaise-era GM product.

the only thing I see is carscoops on and in every picture. I cannot decide what is going on besides carscoop trying too hard too promote themselves.

It is very difficult to gauge the quality of the materials from pictures, especially poor quality pictures like this and of a preproduction version to boot.

True that, but the disjointedness produces a trashy look.
