#NAIAS: FCA Digs DEEP, TEASES The All-new RAM Heavy Duty For A Motor City Reveal
We're only days away from the 2019 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) and the teasers are coming fast and furious. The latest to jump into the fray is the all-new RAM Heavy Duty.

Known as the 2500 and 3500 models, these are the workhorses of the RAM portfolio.

And, if Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' (FCA) teaser is to be believed, it's going to be a helluva truck. Not only will it have remarkable performance, it will also be "smart."

We're not quite sure what that will entail but note the video does liberally sprinkle in shots of its massive, 12-inch display that's located in the center stack. In addition, it specifically highlights the "bed lowering" function on the interface.

Given that, we're hoping there's more tricks up the RAM HD's sleeve.

I will be interested to see what they've done because I will have two more haulers to replace in 2019.

Let us know what you decide to go with.

We've heard good things about the F450s...

Both of the new Fords have already been out of town and our drivers love them. One has been up and down California on dealer trades and the other has gone to Tucumcari and back bringing project cars here for remanufacturing.

We had 4 Rams in our fleet and they were truly excellent. I would have no issue buying another set of Rams.

MD: How do you decide when to replace your haulers and what guides your purchase to the new ones?

Mileage is one parameter.

If my accountant can also finagle a tax advantage, then that is a trigger.

Another is dealer incentive.

The ones I located had been lingering because they were optioned like Cadillacs and were gathering dust.

So mileage, 2018 expenditure, and money on the hood made the deal.

The two I got rid of were in excess of 150K miles.

The next two are currently at 125K so by the end of this year they will be getting close.

As of today, I still have not settled on a company car.

I did the trip to Newport Beach this past Thursday in a Jensen Interceptor. Talk about fun! It attracted all sorts of attention. We go to lunch at a restaurant with valet service and the Interceptor apparently had enough "cool factor" to be parked up front where it could be seen from the street.

PS: To those of you who incessantly vote me down, please realize that I'm laughing at you. You know that voting me down does not hurt my feelings--but you want to--and yet even as your tactic fails, you hold onto it and keep doing it. That shows unintelligence, but you're Democrats, so I forgive you. #MAGA #BuiltThatDamnWall #Landslide2020 #ImBetterThanYou #Namaste

@MD clearly people are petty and vote others down for no other reason then the fact that they posted something. It has zero to do with content. Onward.

MD ask: What will you be using it for?

I am in the junk removal business. After using an F150, 250, 350, I thought I would try a Transit. Liken' it so far.
