Tesla Giving RAM 1500's As Loaners To Model 3 Owners While Their Cars Are In Shop. Would That P_SS You Off?
One of our spies came across this tweet from a Tesla owner saying that their Model 3 was in for service and that they were given a RAM 1500 as a loaner vehicle.

Three questions...

1. As a Tesla owner would that p_ss you off seeing an American Pickup is the antithesis of an electric car?
2. Does it matter what kind of service loaner dealers give out or is doing something like this tone-deaf?
3. If you were RAM would you publicize this?

We actually think there is some humor in this situation...

Spies, discuss...

They had to go out of their way a bit to decide to use RAM's as a loaner. A likely PR move as well as laying the groundwork for their own pickup truck?

right. the EV service shop likely dont carry a fleet of spare Tesla loaners. the brand can't keep up with new unit deliveries.

Using your own brand as loaners is a great way for customers to experience other vehicles in the line up to impress doe future sales. Also, a “premium” brand giving customers non-premium cars as loaners seems like a poor customer experience. I’m always exited to try another car in my dealers lineup when mine is in for service.

Tesla owners really think they are saving the planet so they would not like the loaner. They would likely take a bus home and peddle their bikes to work.

This just sounds so wrong on so many levels.

Tesla owners are bound to see better quality in the Ram.

Who cares...dealers use rental cars all the time when they run out of loaners. I have had rentals (of different makes) from Audi, BMW and Infiniti dealers in the past.

Little Tesla car owners being given big clumsy Ram trucks? What is totally wrong with this picture?

Be happy you have a loaner at all.
No one is forcing you to take it, loaners are "courtesy" cars not an entitlement the Tesla owners think they are owed.
Don't like it?
Fine, take a fricking bus home......
