DRIVEN + VIDEO: Is THIS More Proof That RAM Is Ready To Overtake Chevrolet In The Pick-up Truck Sales Race?
The truck wars continue to heat up.

Although Ford certainly has done some great work by creating a nice amount of padding between it and the Chevrolet Silverado, the race is intense for second as RAM continues to close the gap. Given the criticism of the all-new Silverado, it seems General Motor's miss may be FCA's gain.

Big time!

The folks over at Consumer Reports recently released a quick drive video of the all-new RAM 1500. In it, CR goes though the RAM's good and bad traits, and compares them against the likes of the aforementioned Silverado and F-150.

Clearly, the FCA team is onto something and 2019 may be the truck company's BIG moment.

The 2019 Ram 1500 strikes a balance between comfort and utility that’s not common among pickup trucks. The Ram has plenty of power for truck tasks and comes with a nicely finished cabin, improved connectivity and a comfortable ride.

Chevy deserved to fall to LAST PLACE in pickup sales since they released their disappointing and unacceptable 2019s.

Agree, whereas the new Ram is terrific! Another sign that GM management is out of touch and needs to go...

Chevy is in big trouble with this new Ram as it already outsold Chevy in Q4.

Chevy is ugly (esp. HD) and interior looks cheap carryover from old truck. Plus the 2.7 turbo-4 gets worse mpg than V8 and that is there entry level engine.. No V6.

Ford F-150 has superior capability and that is what most buyers want. Plus new F150 is months away with surprises that will shock the competition.. Stay tuned!

Also the CR review is very lame complementing Ram on its big side Windows n mirrors... Give me a break... LMAO...!!

The Ram simply IS that good. I'm much more impressed with it than the new Wrangler. Neither is literally 100% new and both are reworks of previous editions, but the Ram is the better execution. With the quality control problems over at Jeep, it makes me think Alfa Romeo must be in charge there.

Id like to see how all 3 hold up after 3 years. While i am contemplating the Ram for myself, all my GMC's have been great to me. My GMC's have held up well for 8-10 years, will the Ram?
