Cadillac Wins 24 Hours Of Daytona - Does Win On Sunday Mean Sales On Monday?
The Cadillac DPi-V.R teams have won the last three 24 Hours of Daytona races in a row as Fernando Alonso took the black and blue Konica Minolta Wayne Taylor Racing car across the finish line for the final time some two hours before the race time clock ran out. With safety top of mind, the stewards finally threw the red flag for a second time due to the torrential downfall and let that stoppage continue on to the end of the race. Technically the race officially ended 10 minutes early, as the call was made at 23 hours and 50 minutes.

Most certainly for Porsche and Corvettes to some degree still, but not for Cadillac whose current image is so convoluted and twisted and whose past was never much associated with racing anyway.

I agree. Cadillac STILL has not presented a clear msg on who they are or what they're about. Their doing all sorts of things but the marketing has got to be more visible, consistant and broader, I like how they've inked the agreement w/the PGA which is a very good move. Still, racing... I get it but so far it doesn't translate or "connects" very well to their product line. Perhaps GM's new mid engined vehicle will actually have a Cadillac version where their racing heritage will bring value. At this point I've been wondering why they've been so active in racing for as long as they have and FYI they've been extremely successful. Perhaps a new halo is coming??

This Cadillac has no tangible connection to real Cadillacs. Cadillac should NOT be in racing at all.

Agreed with Matt, there is zero conneciton between Cadillac clientele and the endurance racing series. Money wasted that would be better spent with Chevrolet.
