Lexus RC F Track Edition Will Be The First Of Many Performance Models

Lexus RC F Track Edition Will Be The First Of Many Performance Models
Earlier this month at the Detroit Auto Show, Lexus revealed its wonderfully awesome 2020 RC F Track Edition. Although this particular model will be limited production, the Track Edition moniker isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s just getting started. Lexus confirmed this to Motor 1 last weekend at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, stating that "the plan right now is to build 60 (RC F) Track Editions… and it’s going to be 40 of the white and 20 of the matte gray (for 2020). It’s (our) intention to have a version of the Track Edition in subsequent (model) years.” Those words come directly from Cooper Ericksen, Lexus vice president for product planning at strategy, so we can say for certain the luxury brand is aiming high for both performance and emotion.

Just no. Don't bother. Do better Lexus vehicles and don't chase AMG or M customers.

Somehow the inherent Lexus ugliness works quite well in the track edition. Kudos to the F team.

Too nice to be put on track... and needs twin turbo

Oh, Lexless is now producing a 'track car' that is a duplicate looking vehicle like what you see filling up the grocery store parking lots.

amg sounds great, thats my only gripe with BMW m division. their exhaust note is complete garbage ... the only think bow should do like lexus is that exhaust. that being said, i like this rcf version .

That rear wing looks downright pathetic. If Lexus is going to try and challenge BMW's M and Mercedes AMG, it should design cars that at least look compelling.

The real question is why would anyone spend RCF money when a Mustang GT is the better choice and looks better as well. I'm an RCF fan, but this is very "ricer" to my eyes.

Can’t fault Lexus with the design updates. Mercedes did 10x’s worse with their former Black Series cars. Six-figure boy-racer cars aren’t for me. I love the promise of its performance though it still falls behind the AMG, M, AND RS in terms of outright performance, specifically acceleration.

Looks just like what the teenagers did to old Honda Civics years ago. But instead of a $3,500 Honda, Lexless is allowing the fools in public to hand over 100 large for the same childish looking crap box.
