How Can You Stop This? Yet Another Tesla Autopilot Driver Caught Asleep At the Wheel

Hey, who likes riddles? Here’s one! What’s the difference between KITT from Knight Rider’s self-driving system and a Tesla on Autopilot? The answer? Nothing! They’re both fucking fictional when it comes to being fully self-driving and if you sleep in your Autopilot-mode Tesla you’re an idiot endangering everyone around you. Also, only one could be used while David Hasselhoff enjoyed a cheeseburger. With this in mind, this video of a guy sleeping at the wheel of his Tesla Model X should be even more infuriating.

Here, just watch:

Yup, you are less likely to die in a Tesla than any other car. Natural selection indeed.

In Ontario that driver could be charged with Impaired (same as DUI) as anything that impairs your driving -alcohol, drugs, sickness, fatigue etc compromises your ability to safely control your vehicle and many serve as a useful model for other states to follow if they don't already have similar legislation.

One reason I only drive standards is that you are more engaged with the car which helps me focus more on driving and be more attentive. I'd probably fall a sleep too driving a Tesla but that shitty Model 3 interior would give me nightmares...

He's just quoting the JALOPNIK article. Nothing that needs praise. This site is never consistent showing what content is quoted (from either other sites or press releases) and what is content they themselves have written. It's sloppy.
