EPA Finds California's Idea Of A 50 State Fuel Economy Solution Is To Do It Their Way

The Trump administration and California clean-air officials remain “pretty far apart” in their bid to strike an agreement on automobile fuel economy and greenhouse gas emissions rules as federal regulators race to finalize a key proposal for the auto industry, the U.S. EPA acting chief said.

“We certainly hope to have a 50-state solution but at the end of the day we have to move forward with regulation,” Environmental Protection Agency Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler told Bloomberg Television in an interview Monday. “California is an important player -- an important part of this -- but this is not a two-sided negotiation for a national standard.”

I would argue that Americans residing in California are discriminated against when California imposes stricter emissions. It's really no different conceptually than black people being able to eat in whatever restaurant in the North, but were excluded in the South years ago. It's the same separate-and-unequal discrimination except that this time the members of the cult of global warming willingly want to increase their imprisonment.

Emissions should be 50-state and no state should have the option to impose different regulations. It's that simple. The US government needs to sue California. California's tyranny needs to end.

California is now the world’s 5th largest economy if it were a individual country. That makes it larger than the entire UK. California remains the ideal destination for high income earners on the leading edges of high tech, education, engineering, manufacturing, and science.

California’s emissions regulations are leading the world with even China targeting the California emissions as a long term goal to clean up their own pollutions problems. The socialism of passing off the poisonous noxious fumes from tailpipes to everyone else in the world while riding in V8 F-150 $70k pickup vanity mobiles is being brought under control. And where California leads, the rest will follow. California’s size and economic power means auto makers will tailor their cars for the biggest market. And there is nothing the Federal Government can do about it. nothing.

State’s Rights. You either believe in it. Or you don’t.
