RENDERED SPECULATION + LEAKED! Hold Onto Your Hats, Spies, The SEXIEST C8 Chevrolet Corvette Render Slips Out...
Each day we get a little bit closer to the reveal of the 2020 C8 Chevrolet Corvette. There's just a couple problems.

First, we have no idea when the reveal will be. The latest rumors seem to indicate sometime in the summer.

Second, the vehicle is still buttoned up tight. While there's been a lot of renders, some seem close while others are swinging and missing.

But the latest one we've seen is staggeringly good. Not only do many of the details line up, there's a bit of creativity. That's because they took the top off. Ignore the seats, which are clearly a pair from the C7 Corvette. From spy shots of the new Zora, we know the seating will be completely revamped.

Get a look at the "top off" render, below.

But wait, there's more!

Somehow the folks over at GM-Trucks got their hands on the startup animation that will be featured on the C8's gauge cluster. I don't know how they did it but the newly revised logo matches up with the interior spy shots that revealed the C8's cabin.

Check it out here.

So, what do YOU make of all this, Spies?!

Definitely an interesting look. Overall kind of generic mid engine, nice nose but the side scoops are off somehow.

Eh. The Corvette should stay a Corvette instead of trying to be a Ferrari or Mclaren. Its soul and individuality seem taken away with this design.

Mirror is boring...
How does the front pass EU pedestrian safety rule?

I'M really conflicted...It looks great, will be a track monster and a performance bargain...but is it a Corvette? Its like if your mother had major cosmetic surgery, died her hair, lost weight, divorced Dad and married Jack Nicholson. She is still your mom but it feels a lot different.

I still think this car is the answer to a question that no one asked.

Indeed. We have people interested in acquiring a Z06 because it will be the last "real" Corvette.

God, please don't let that ugly front end reach production.

I know GM spent a ton of money developing it, but the simplicity/plainness of the design and lack of surface detailing just makes it look bargain basement.

I bet the majority of people will walk by the new C8 and not notice it is different. Just a new Corvette.

Could Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, BMW have survived this long by making the SAME type of vehicle for over 30-40yrs? Probably...well most-likely not. And they all depend on shared platforms and/or components to continue to produce top-rated performance today.

GM could have done a rear-engine Corvette years ago but it wouldn't have been as "complete" as the C8 will be. This is a real evolutionary design for a car with a huge history. And both the front & rear engine models car effectively exist together - they'll be compared to each other as much as competition from other automakers. And maybe GM should go-ahead & produce 1-2 more Corvette "variant" models to solidify the Corvette name as a true brand.

joneshamilton: Those two have been making SUV's for 30-40 years? ...I may have missed it.

Needs to price right to sell
Keep it under $60K

I'd be shocked if this was less than 100K.

What a great looking, well proportioned sports car. The C8 should be a great success!

Carlos: I am not a fan of the new Corvette but I do not see how that could sell for $60k and GM / Dealer make a profit. Your thoughts please ...

It won't make a profit if it doesn't sell.

dlin was the one who posted that it needed to be "under 60K". I personally think GM will intro it at ~125K or so.

And at $125K base it will alienate the Corvette loyalists and be the Corvette that kills the Vette.

This must not be the final design as I doubt that the front end would meet pedestrian impact standards.

Just re-clicked on the link and was reminded that it is a photoshop. Why was it published then?

The C8 looks like a 1970s low end entry level Ferrari! Plain and not a lot of “exotic” in the exterior styling.

Looks like a F430... nice to them to imitate the styling of a car from three (car) generations ago.

Forget to add that the current generation I actually respect and readily admit that it's handsome, it looks like a Corvette. Too bad about this one really...
