#GIMSSWISS: Ferrari's New Tributo Will Pack A 710HP Twin Turbo V8
Ferrari said the 710-hp F8 Tributo mid-engine model will be its most powerful V-8 engine production car to date. It replaces the 488 GTB.

Ferrari released pictures and details of the supercar on Thursday ahead of its unveiling at the Geneva auto show on March 5.

The automaker said the car's name (tributo is the Italian word for tribute) is a reference to its turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 engine that won the International Engine of the Year awards three years running in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Ferrari said the F8 Tributo has a top speed of 211 mph and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds.

There is Ferrari and then everything else... if it gets better than this, I am not sure what it could be.. HOME RUN....

@1lostVW - Imagine largely the same can with an 150hp equivalent battery boost through an electric motor with some borrowed F1 tech. My guess is the next Speciale version of the F8 will have this sort of electric assist.

I wonder how long Ferrari can milk this V8 platform. It is a great business model. Everyone Who could not get a F458 bought a F488. Of those who had money to buy a small island got a Speciale or a Pista. Now those who could not get a F488 can buy the F8 Tributo. All are largely the same car with some tweaks. Ferrari knows how to make red cars that go fast and make buckets of money...

I'd rather have a Sagaris or Tuscan...

@MD with the common place nature of supercar sightings on the local high street in each major city, that is a strategy sure to make you stand out from the crowd. I still remember the TVR Tuscan from Swordfish. Cool car. Bad movie.

Whenever I take the Sagaris out on RMF plates, I am a magnet. Mid-engined cars so easily look like Fieros with body kits.

Halle Berry is far from attractive. Her latest round of plastic surgery makes her look like a shovel hit her face.
