LS already DOA; such a nice car.

Image is everything, most of Lexus clientele chose Lexus based on value and reliability. Lexus always presented itself as a quality product and alternative to the Germans for sometimes much less.

That being said the LS is now priced at close to $80k, a figure Lexus clients won’t go near and gave up their German make because of cost. Take a peak at the Lexus LX SUV which competes in one of the hottest markets, full size suvs, and it only moved a mere 411 units.

Lexus bread and butter RX now faces tougher competition than ever and I think this year will be very crucial for the brand to determine what direction they want to go

7000+ units on a 4-year old RX is hardly bad with the closest competitor in the lower 4K. Lexus seems to know its direction with the newest ES and LS, and the responses seem well.

At one time the RX would move 2-3 times as many as it’s German rivals, the fact that it’s the least expensive and now only moving 2-3k units more per month is my point precisely.

The RX is losing its edge and once bulletproof lead

Two things are wrong with the RX. The first is that it should come as a three row crossover ONLY. The second is that it's gotten too expensive for the Japanese Mercuryness of it being a Highlander in drag.

I'd grow the RX to a legitimate 3 row crossover and keep the base price near $40K.
I'd add a Lexus "Venza" between the RX and the NX for $35K.
I'd drop the NX to $29,999

LS still 3rd behind Mecedes S and BMW 7, but ahead of Audi A8
