I'll Take The Manhart Performance Lamborghini Urus With MORE Than 800 Horsepower, Please!

I'll Take The Manhart Performance Lamborghini Urus With MORE Than 800 Horsepower, Please!
To be honest, I don't particularly understand why any one would buy a Lamborghini Urus. The Audi Q8 looks better and if I wanted a V8 from Volkswagen, I'd save myself some coin and just get a Porsche Cayenne Turbo and call it a day.

But some need the badge and they want the added juice.

For those types, they may get a bit jacked up reading this. That's because the folks over at Manhart Performance have decided to dial up the already impressive power figures for the Urus. By switching out the turbos and providing a different exhaust, Manhart's Urus produces just over 800 horsepower and 720 lb.-ft. of torque.

Zero to 60 happens in 3.6 seconds, which is supercar territory. Should make grocery shopping fun!

...The Urus rolls off the factory floor with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Lamborghini’s powerful build produces 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque as a production car. Thanks to Manhart’s detailed ministrations, the super-powered SUV makes 801 horses and 723 lb-ft of torque. The tuner opted to add more free-flowing turbochargers and a special sports exhaust system to boost airflow, all of which converts to more juice in the fun pedal.

And what can this tuned Urus do for you, the driver? Well, it can sprint from zero to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Not bad for an SUV...

A Lamborghini is still an authentic low volume EXOTIC car - and Audi is not

After Driving my Maybach, I could say that there is no real purpose for a Rolls Phantom - but Yet - I also know that there are those who will spend Rolls Money for having a Rolls.

And there are LOTS of cheap performance cars on the Market that outrun many far more expensive rides as well - yet the expensive one still sell

Yes - the is something in saying that I saved some coin in buying the Mercedes - but then there are those who do not want to be seen as CHEAP - even at that level. If you can afford the top - money is not the issue.

I hear you, Tom, but here's the problem. The only truly unique attributes that separate the Urus from the others are its body and interior. The rest is borrowed from VWAG.

A Ferrari 488 GTB is completely unique.

A Huracan is really just a pumped up R8. An Aventador, on the other hand, at least leverages a unique V12 powerplant though I'm sure it'll throw a ton of CELs.

Actually the R8 is an ugly, dumbed down Huracan @00R

I suppose it no worse than "Hey--Let's take a Touareg and put 'Lamborghini' on it and quadruple the price."
