SPIED: TWO For The Price Of ONE — The All-new BMW M8 Convertible And X5M Are Caught Together

SPIED: TWO For The Price Of ONE — The All-new BMW M8 Convertible And X5M Are Caught Together
If you're a fan of the Bavarians, you'd know that BMW has been on a tear delivering all-new models to the market. Guess what? It needs to! The competition is coming from all angles.

And here's the bad news: BMW's aren't what they used to be.

That said, there's still a lot of excitement over its latest models, the 8-Series and all-new X5. But there's more where that came from.

We're awaiting the reveal of the M8 and X5M. While we exercise as much patience as possible, some folks traveling through Sweden came across prototypes of the all-new M8 Convertible and X5M.

Pure speculation, but I'd wager both are equipped with forced induction V8s good for 600+ horsepower. See them rolling in the clip below.

NEW BMW M8 Convertible and BMW X5M SPIED in Sweden. Thanks Rawan I!

The M8 convertible makes no sense at all. Why would the oldsters who buy convertibles in Boca Raton want to be bumped around with M8 chassis tuning. Why not an Alpina B8 convertible?

The heart wants what the heart wants no matter how old you are.

Obviously you're clueless about what an Alpina is then.

How many Alpina's are sold (7-series only in US)? The codgers can just buy the standard 850i cab.

IMO the extistence of Alpina in the US BMW lineup is confusing and just dilutes the brand.

On the other hand, BMW should certainly produce a V12, $180,000 M860i for the rich people who want the 'most expensive' BMW. The Alpina is just odd and only made sense in the 1970's/80's before BMW really launched its "M" division.

No MD you are clueless about what I know and don't know. Have owned 79 cars two of which were Alpinas. My point was that at any age your inner desires influence your car choice despite what anyone else believes. Its your attitude that you always know better what a person needs or doesn't, knows or doesn't know that is offensive. Live and let live man.
