LEAK! Best SNEAK Shot Yet Of The Tesla Model Y? And Will It Carry The New Aggressive Pricing Just Announced?

Basing the Model Y on the same platform as the Model 3 suggests that it will be a compact crossover and it is set to have sleek styling closer to the Model 3’s than the Model X’s.

The Model Y is expected to be slightly longer than the Model 3, which measures 4690mm, but a similar width (1930mm). That makes it a similar size to the Mercedes-Benz EQC and slightly shorter than an Audi E-tron.

Musk described 2018 as the “most pivotal year” in Tesla’s history and 2019 is set to be even more important – and not just because of the Model Y. The firm has started work on its first factory in Shanghai, which gives it far greater opportunities in the world’s largest EV market. Tesla is aiming to produce 3000 Model 3s a week there when it starts production later this year. Combined with the 7000 per week target for Fremont, that would give the firm the ability to produce 500,000 Model 3s a year by early 2020.

Do you believe this sneak render is close to the final design launching in days?

...and deliveries will start sometime in 2023 if you put down a $9,000 deposit for a model that Tesla will not produce until 2025.

It will just be a big, bloated, ungainly looking, ugly mess version of the Model 3 in much the same way the Model X was a big, bloated, ungainly looking, ugly mess version of the Model S.

No prototypes.
No real-world engineering.
Zero attention to quality control.
From their design iPads to production.

Elon last year promised 12,000 new super chargers in the US by April - to date 500 have been added. He also promised to have service centers is all regions of the US in the same time period. Less than half the US is covered. The unveiling of the model why is obviously timed to generate much needed cash.
Who in their right mind would invest in this company or buy one of its products?

^^^

I almost bought a Model S and am glad that I didn't with 65 day waits for service in the Toronto area and $5K door repair bills, autocrash and falling rear bumpers. I was only really considering buying one to use the HOV lanes legally to save time commuting -not to be a preachy, loathsome, hollier than thou douche as many drivers are ( I can attain that status without the car or hassles of Tesla ownership thank you)...

Tesla stock is tanking today due to concerns about it financials and Elon not informing his employees of store closures ahead of time. His behavior us increasingly erratic.

qwertyfla1, it is unlikely you will become holier than thou douche.
I think most of the Teslaratti are preachy douches before they but the car. I believe this is their demographic.
