Alfa Romeo Working On Small Entry Level Crossover Bringing SUV Lineup To 4 Models

The Alfa Romeo MiTo could be reinvented as a five-door supermini SUV, Auto Express can reveal. When it arrives, it’ll form the final pillar in the brand’s four-strong SUV line-up.

Not only to they have to have impeccable quality, they have to be priced well below--like 15-20% below--the competition.

The Giulia needed to start at $30K base with the Quadrapleggio coming in at $45K. Furthermore, it would have been much more interesting with the Hemi under the hood than the fake-assed, wannabe-Ferrari-derived V6. There is a history of American V8s in Italian cars. Exploiting that would have made sense.

"The Hemi won't fit." You say? Well then that's bad engineering.

So you want the Alfa to be like an Italian Jensen Interceptor or a Bristol 411 or perhaps an Iso Griffo or Bizarinni. Hmmm-Interesting idea but too limited production. Alfa would have to charge Maserati prices. You can by 30K Giulias right now. There are a bunch of 2017's on the lot in Albuquerque that I'm sure they will deal with you on.
