SPIED! The Very FIRST Kia Tellurides ARRIVE In Showrooms — So, What Do YOU Think?
One vehicle we're pretty hot on is the all-new Kia Telluride. Why, you ask?

Well, it's priced right, is handsome and has plenty of space. It's the right product at the right time. What's there not to like?

All-new Kia Telluride

Agent 001 decided to drop in at his local Kia dealer today and check it out in the flesh. It's one thing to see it up and on a stand under harsh lighting, and it's a completely different ball game when it is on the street.

He even took it for a short spin. While it may not have the best driving dynamics, from the sound of it, 001 is pretty compelled by the look and packaging, overall.

Turns out he's not the only one. The 24 SX trim level Tellurides that arrived in SoCal all sold out in four days.

So, we've got to ask now that we're dialing you into the real-life shots of it on the street: What do YOU think? Are you feeling the Telluride?

This thing could spell the beginning of the end of the SUV pricing surcharge.

idk about that. but Honda/Toyota/Nissan/Chevy better take note.

VW just has to do better at marketing. The Altas is really nice, especially in the R-line trim. So so few people actually know about the options.

It is hilarious watching you work overtime to defend the Land Cruiser.

to the guy asking about defending the land cruiser, the fact is it is the best engineered vehicle on the planet. i don't care if the mileage sucks, or the third row wastes space, it's designed to last for 25 years easily. it may not be cutting edge but it is the best.

it is not designed to be a Land Cruiser competitor. Why all the anger devoted to this meaningless discussion?? It is designed to compete with other large crossovers. Go waste your time elsewhere.

The Toyota Land Cruiser was last all new in 1996. That 1996 model has been restyled mildly a few times, but the vehicle is ANCIENT under it. Land Cruisers have downright frightening handling characteristics.

Looks like a decent rental.

I guess they're pretty much out of good names for SUVs at this point.

It's too bad that the XT6 won't be anywhere near this good.

I can tell you honestly hate for Cadillac to get good traction with their current SUVs.

The Telluride is trying to pretend like it's as good as a Cadillac, not vise-versa.

The XT6 400 will not be as good as this at all. This is an entirely new vehicle and the XT6 is simply a slightly longer XT5/Acadia that is in its 3rd year. Ive not been in either but this interior looks to be "nicer" than the XT6 and that vehicle is supposed to be a "luxury" car. Car & Driver recently called the XT6 a nice mid size CUV and deliberatly said, its not a luxury car.... GM is arrogantly "not" shaking in its boots...

@dumpflush This: "I can tell you honestly hate for Cadillac to get good traction with their current SUVs." (1) is not how I think and (2) clearly shows you don't listen to what people say, but just bash them. I have an honest hate for mainstream cars with BAD design. The Cadillac Traverse will be yet another Cimarron. The Telluride has better build quality than an XT5 for example.

Well, I guess no one will be buying a VW Atlas now that the Telluride has been released.

They did a great job with the design inside and out. At $48K fully loaded, it is priced very well for the segment, it blows the Pilot/Highlander./Atlas out of the water. This should sell very well, only wildcard is getting people to look past the Kia name and give it a chance. Only thing I would like to see is for them to make the 3.3L turbo V6 an option.

This will sell well.

Correction: This SHOULD sell well. Whether buyers will gravitate to the Kia brand is another story. And whether the Palisade attracts buyers away is also another story.

Side profile and rear looks good. The front end is a disaster. Generic and already dated. Lost far too much in the transition from concept to production.

I am guessing It will do quite well on value alone. The design is generically good but I think some of the details in the design let it down. It seems like the eadlights and tail lights are off somehow, the trim around the infotainment screens among others. Maybe I am being too critical and just need to see one in person.
