DRIVEN + VIDEO: Doug DeMuro Weighs In On Kia's All-new Telluride — Is It Going To SLAY Luxury Mid-size SUVs?
In recent days the Kia Telluride has been front and center here at AutoSpies. Although I am sure some folks will say Kia is keeping our lights on, that's not the case.

What the Korean marque has done, however, is build a tremendous product — at least in our eyes.

Having said that, we recognize we're not the only game in town. Doug DeMuro, who has risen to significant YouTube fame, recently got behind the wheel of the all-new seven-seater Kia and we wanted to share his perspective on it.

It may just surprise you.

Check out DeMuro's clip, below.

The 2020 Kia Telluride is a new midsize family SUV. Today I will review the Kia Telluride, and I'm going to show you all the important things to know about the Telluride during my Kia Telluride review.

Every video starts off with "Thiiiiis"....the over-enunciation of nearly every word is ridiculous as well...someone needs to send this fool to broadcast school. Stop flailing your damned hands.

"The hottest new SUV on the market"???? #NOT He makes a total ass of himself demonstrating "driver talk".

His review is largely accurate, but painful to watch and listen to.

keep your negativity to yourself, we would all appreciate it... I imagine you are jealous of his success, no one would want to watch your negative reviews MD

Bitch, please! (note correct punctuation) Get off it. You got your ass handed to you already when you put that thesis forward previously. You got pummeled. Why be moronic twice?

Stinger is hardly a failure. It was expected to be low volume and amortized the cost of developing the G70 platform. Next generation will build upon the strong start.

The Singer is selling 100% of its projection.

While the Stinger was not a true failure - it did little to change the PRESTIGE of the Kia Name - much as the K900 failed in that regard.

Kia remains - a lower class sort of entry level (THEy tried to raise it to middle premium but failed) brand that does not compete in the Premium car category. If they price it as a premium - it will not sell. ANd if they price it at entry level - it will take some sales from that group of people who justify its purchase based on price - but that will do nothing to help the Kia Reputation

Time will tell... 20 years from now who will be selling cars or are clouds of smoke in the rear view... The Koreans are serious about building competive vehicles at a very strong value. Ignore them at ones peril:

http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-data According to this GM had 25% Mkt Share, Ford 19.74 and H/K/G had 13.25%.. where was Hyundai 20 years ago and where will they be in 20?

Idiots poo poo their products... except for Tom & Steve, most are at General Motors....

Kia may not be writing you checks but it’s starting to feel like Doug Demuro is. Can’t stand the guy’s style or his reviews. Almost as annoying as Roman from TFL.

Autospies - what's with all the Doug DeMuro posts all of a sudden? Anyone who watches his channel knows that he moved to San Diego (home of AutoSpies). Did you guys hire him? Full disclosure please? Or do you have a cross-promotion YouTube referral arrangement or something with him.

He's not that interesting but boy, has he been popping up on Autospies a lot recently.

Doug is a friend and we have no agreement with him. He's a good guy and we're happy for his success. We also like supporting San Diego business even though we moved our headquarters to Plano a few years ago. He must be doing something right to be getting all the views. No one forces you to watch but many people want to hear is opinion whether you agree or not.

Also, look for us to do more videos. Coming soon.

The Stinger is selling pretty well. Not sure what you talking about. Maybe since this is anti-Korean blog that displays every other manufacturers' car sells but Hyundai, Genesis and Kia. I CAN see why that information is a lie. The Cadenza and K900 are the cars not selling. The Stinger sold over 1000 units a month before. I dont know why Kia needs a 2nd K900.

Also why is it everytime the Telluride debuted people want to compare it to a Land Cruiser? Yet when the Suburu Acent debuted no one wants to compare it to a true Off Roader Land Cruiser not the next Chevy Blazer.

The comparison stems from the disastrous montage done by some advertising idiots that depicted the Telluride as a serious off-roader. The display was so comically terrible that people are venomous about it.

Why no one comparing the Land Cruiser to a Grand Cherokee, Explorer and Land Rover? Scared the Toyota going to lose? So to build up yall confidence on y'alls favorite brand compare the Toyota to the Telluride. Yet no one comparing the Pathfinder to the Land Cruiser. Scared of Kia?

Look I know Hyundai and Kia have had their engine issues with some of their 1.6 and older 2.0 engines. However, thhey learn quick having been in this country 35 years. In general they producing competitive product in all segments. I'm waiting for a pickup truck. The Telluride, like the Hyundai Palisade is a competitive and violable alternative in the large SUV market.
