If The 2020 Corvette Looks Like THIS, Will You Be Running Down To The Dealership With Your Checkbook In Hand?

There’s a good chance the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette C8 might set the record for the most rendered car in history — especially if the rumored production delay turns out to be true.

While we’ve featured a fair share of mid-engine Corvette renderings so far, including our own, we can’t ignore these two new CGIs released by Chazcron from the MidEngineCorvetteForum.

Based on a new set of spy photos of the 2020 Corvette C8 that revealed more details of the headlights and taillights, the renderings manage to paint a rather accurate picture of the upcoming mid-engine sports car.

Only GM could make a 1,000 HP mid-engine sports car appear bland.

There is a lack of surface detailing and it looks cheapo.

#Fiero2.0

I was thinking the exact same thing. The radiator scoops look awful, the nose is bland, the rear is trying to copy the existing model too much. No real interesting details, either beautiful (Ferrari), tough (Lamborghini) or nostalgic (Ford GT). Just meh all around. I am sure it will be a massive performer though, GM has been really good at that lately.

The current Vette is very good looking. I believe when we see this it will be much better than the renders.

Nope because after they stopped production of the Cruze, they could had just made their crossovers at that same plant so those employees would still have a job
So why should I support a brand that doesnt support the Americans?

You have to make what the market will buy. Making more crossovers than they can sell will not help.

Buy yourself a used F360 or F430 and it will appreciate more than this car ever will. GM never should have approved it.

Did someone steal the image from the "Mattel" dumpster down in El Segundo?

It looks like a "Hot-Wheels" rendering.

Blech.

So true and some people that put off getting a Corvette are now buying the C7 before Chevy totally ruins the car by turning it into a Fiero.

It really does not make much of a difference how it will look - at least it is not as hideous as the Jensen S-V8 was.

At least initially - it will sell like $1 Big macs at a sold out Yankee game.

By the time the market for it stabilizes - the performance for the money will still place it high on the list of exotic affordables - it is likely to Destroy the NSX for instance. Just like the small GM pick-ups - GM still has limited ability to produce large amounts of these cars - and it will take a while for it to satisfy the initial demand because of that. THat will like be when they have to refresh the car - which GM generally gets better.
