#NYIAS PREVIEW: Take A Bite Out Of The BIG Apple With These HOT Shots
It's almost April, Spies. That means several things, really.

First, Spring is here; second, Easter is just around the corner; and third, the New York Auto Show is going to be in town. That means the Big Apple is going to be home to some swingin' parties and big time automotive debuts.

NYIAS New York Auto Show Preview

If you're expecting a lot of crazy concepts though, you should probably calm down a touch. That's because the New York show, in recent years, has skewed heavily towards consumer products. You know, the things people will be buying once these vehicles hit showrooms.

While the auto manufacturers are just starting to show what will be waiting for us in the city that never sleeps, we wanted to whet your appetite with photos from previous New York Auto Shows we've covered.

We're a little pumped up for this year's affair.

That said, check out the pictures below and stay tuned to AutoSpies.com for the latest 2019 New York Auto Show news.

Living just north of NYC enables me to go every year...great show and opportunity to comparison shop plus see colors and options. My soon to be driving grandson and I have been doing a trifecta for ten straight years: the NY Motorcycle Show, NY Boat Show and NY Auto Show. Discussions about what we would buy if we had unlimited funds always great fun.

After doing the NYC show for over 45 years, I am finished with it this year. Each year has become a repetition of the previous year's show. Colors change but by in large, it is the same old, same old. It will go to my local dealers to see what I am really interested in and be able to test drive as well.

Are all the 'Spies' on vacation or something? The site has been on cruise control for the past week.

This post should have had one of those "Facebook-Memories" headers - "POSTS FROM 2016" The NY Auto Show gets worse every year.

There must be an alcohol and prostitutes junket going on.

I remember being a teenager and going to an introduction in Las Vegas for dealers. I was in a nice suit and was able to pass for 21, but the alcohol was right there, drugs were a whisper away as were prostitutes. I knew such things went on but the scale of it was nothing like I'd ever seen. I wasn't desperate for a bang bang like some of the other men were who were trapped in their marriages.

NY is now The Auto Show for North America. Detroit is a $#!+ Hole that most upscale manufacturers have pulled out. They are trying to revive the show by moving the dates from early January to a warmer month. Won’t help it’s still Detroit.

LA is a show that should be be more significant but isn’t. The fact is these type of auto shows are dying, New York being the media capital is where the manufacturers will go to show their cars. The senior management from most manufacturers is there for Press Days.

The LA show is laughably terrible.

No one is going to bring up the Chrysler 300 front end huh? If it was a Hyundai that's what would had been said. But because Chrysler isnt Korean,, people rather play dumb as if the Chrysler 300 is original.
