Tesla Has Over 27,000 Model 3 Orders On The Books In Europe

According to the voluntary dataset of Tesla Model 3 orders placed in Europe, more than 27,000 orders were identified (27,119 as of March 25, 2019) compared to about 20,000 in the beginning of February. As the numbers are unofficial, this gives us only a glimpse of the demand side.

The most orders were identified in Germany (over 8,000), Norway (over 5,000) and the Netherlands (over 3,000). We could be especially happy in regards to demand in Germany, which proves Tesla’s competitiveness on the German manufacturers’ home soil.

Give me a f**king break. The source, INSIDEEVS is an Elon fanboy site and the figures are "unofficial" which is to say meaningless. Sales and registrations are well below Elon's obviously cannibis fueled "projections."
Hey, I may have unofficially won the $700 million jackpot.

You're in denial Truthy. Open your eyes and stop making a fool of yourself.

Runninglogan1, Wall Street analysts are as of today projecting unit sales estimates globally for Qtr 1 for Tesla down 33 percent from Qtr 4. Not good considering how they are now selling in China and Europe.
Oh, an additional headwinds are Chine reducing their subsidy for EVs and US insurance companies likely raing insurance rates for Teslas as too many drivers are trying out that rush of torque and crashing their cars.

Do a little research Truthy. The fact that they're selling cars in Europe and China now is one of the reasons numbers are down this quarter.

Believe it or not, Tesla still can't have their cars magically appear in Europe and China. Takes weeks to get there.

Plus, Tesla sales are ALWAYS way down in the 1st quarter vs Q4 - as are most automakers.

Still handily outselling the competition worldwide and most predict it will be a blockbuster in China.

runninglogan, I have done research on other site beside INSIDEEVS.com and Teslarati. Your conclusions are flawed. The number of Teslas shipped does not replace the decline in the US. Yes, most automakers experience sales declines in the first quarter, but not nearly the magnitude os tesla's this year and this depsite the fact that the Model 3 is on sale now. Hmmm. Early indications in China stop well short of "blockbuster: especially as China just decresed their subsidy.
What else do you have?

Truthy, debating you is like arguing with a flat-earther. No matter the logic and evidence presented, they remain stubbornly in denial.

Tell you what brother, let's wait for the second quarter numbers to come in. By then I think even you'll be unable to deny the reality of Tesla's success.

BTW,

Tesla sales Q1 2018: 29,980

Tesla sales Q1 2019: 60,828

That's more than a 100% improvement. Lol.

Okay, you are on. If you think 60,000 sales is impressive while adding a new less expensive model and adding two large markets.
Once you start utilizing resources other than fanboy sites you may get a more complete picture.

MD, we will have to work that out some time. You remind me of a lawyer friend of mine who is very conservative. We have spirited debates (sometimes loud) and then enjoy good wine and laugh it all off. You are much more a car guy though.
My son is currently looking to trade his GTI on a CPO Lexus RC and we are going shopping this weekend.

Okay, runningfromfactslogan, I believe you are in denial. Several well regarded analysts have reduced there price per share down to $210/share from the current $270+.
Why, because Tesla is acting erratically and sales are not only declining in the US, but the product mix is skewing sharply toward less expensive models, thus reducing profits.
The sales in Europe mirror what happened in the US. Tesla fill a long backlog and declares a win before sales drop significantly.

Screw that I rather wait on the Audi. Why would I want to be seen in an electric car seen every 5 miles when I can have an Electric car rare on the roads and turns heads.

27,000 orders is just over 5 weeks of production.

Too bad there are 47 more weeks in the year! US demand has shriveled up, and so will demand in the rest of the world. Bye bye, backlog.
