Tesla Delays Base Model 3 Deliveries AGAIN - Tries To Upsell Buyers
One week from today it will have been three years since Elon Musk revealed Tesla's long-awaited affordable electric car, the Model 3. Though deliveries of high-spec Model 3s began in July of 2017, anyone who wanted the version that actually costs $35,000 before tax incentives couldn't even order one until the end of last month. Now it seems the long wait for the Standard Range Model 3 is about to become even longer, as customers report that Tesla is delaying scheduled delivery dates and trying to upsell them to more expensive versions.

And he is delivering 2018 Model Ss to people that ordered 2019s. Sounds as though inventory is piling up. You would have to be a fool to buy a car from this company.

When does the model year change over August so 8 month old inventory on the model S/books. If Tesla is to survive then Musk needs to take a one way trip to space!

The $37k model has been delivered already so it is getting close to the promise of a $35k car. They should have waiting a little longer before opening up sales for the $35k model if it wasn't ready to go out.

I got mine already, a lot of my coworkers are opting for the $37k version. The $35k one doesn't make much sense unless you are really stretching your budget.

Tesla has delivered 500 of the $37,500 model so Elon can say he did it. Just like a con man. He also said full production of the $35,000 model would not start until late summer, which in Elon speak is December. tick-tock

In all honesty I didn't expect the true base $35k model this year, thought it would only get to the $40k standard + premium interior model.
