PSA And Fiat Pondering EV Platform Hookup

The main topic is a partnership, which could result in a new joint “super platform”. Because the market shifts towards electrification, the new platform would, of course, include electric cars.

Other areas of interest would be investment-intense autonomous driving technologies.

Again - the title of this Item fails to accurately reflect the underlying information.

It is that the two are looking to share a Platform - not specifically for EVs - but for a number of Applications.

Unless the platform is already well into planning - it is already becoming too late to get into the fray for the initial HOPED competitive sales of Electric cars. By the time this could produce fruit - it is likely that there will be dozens of EVs from all types of Manufacturers - some of which will even have a good reputation for building reliable vehicles - which certainly does not include FCA. I cannot imagine ANYONE deliberately WAITING to see what FCA is going to come up with in this case.

And you thought Tesla had engine / battery fire problems. This will look like a 1 alarmer compared to PSA & FCA

That's just what Chrysler needs. The idiot French pulling the strings of the idiots in Italy, pulling the strings of the hostage (that makes all the money) in Detroit.

Arguably Peugeots are better than Fiats, so why not sell Peugeots in Chrysler dealers?
