New Mustang Inspired EV SUV To Have Range In Excess Of 350 Miles
We’ve known for a while that Ford is planning on building a “Mustang inspired” electric SUV, and we’ve known that they wanted to have at least 300 miles of range. It seems that Ford has managed to do even better than that, as they announced today from the “Go Electric” experience in the Netherlands (whatever the hell that is) that the new battery electric vehicle will have a range of 600 km/370 miles, calculated using the World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).

Calculated using WLPT which means lower in EPA rating. About 15% lower. So 350 miles WLPT actually will be closer to 300 miles. Not bad at all. My Tesla Model 3 Long Range gets 325 Miles range EPA btw. And you can get it right now.

I have to believe that manufacturers' EV mileage claims are even less reliable than ICE mpg mileage claims.

EPA is the most conservative standard in the globe for EV mileage, have found them to be pretty accurate for the Bolt, Leaf, and Teslas.
