Is Sheryl Crow's FAVORITE Mistake Her Tesla? And How Did Elon Respond?

Customer Service, this is Elon, please hold.

Looks like she's experiencing a common issue:

On Tesla owner forums, some owners have reported similar issues with their screens over the years, usually around a software upgrade.

Advice ranged from rebooting (which the singer apparently has already tried, naturally) to a dreaded “time for service.”

One Tesla owner has described what worked for him in a similar situation: Drive his Model S without the main display screen because there is still the driver display, which is “much more stable than the main display.” That owner still had to talk with a technician to get his problem resolved, however.

Why should the customer have to set anything to make the car usable?

To be fair - no car is 100% and all cars fail and require repairs. In this day of the CPU managed systems - the idea that a CUSTOMER can simply re-set the systems in the car and move ahead is similar to restarting your computer when it crashes. Yes - in a perfect world - such should never happen.

Anyone who claims we live in a perfect world is beyond help

In the Sheryl crow case, everything was fine... this was user error.

She also said:

"Also, for the haters: I love my @Tesla, and have very few problems. I got the basic model, nothing overly fancy, and it was cheaper than my minivan!"

"all cars fail". say what? In my many years of driving and owning plenty of cars, I've only had one car that has left me stranded (going by Crow's hashtag). 10 of my past 11 cars have delivered ZERO failure issues. The worst one, figure this one out, was my Lexus GS but it never truly failed me. Just big warranty work.

And guess what the issue was... user error. One of her kids was playing with the settings and set the brightness to 0% (try setting your phone to 0% in the daylight). Tesla was able to check her settings remotely and told her to increase the brightness.

"Problem solved! LOVED all of your creative responses. Best one was suggesting my kids take a look... which would have been helpful since my kid was the one who changed the settings / caused it to go black in the first place! I knew I should have interrupted school..."
