It isn't racist (it's just an SUV with a logo) but it is abit nationalistic and I don't think anyone has ever seen a police vehicle with any nations flag used as a background for the word POLICE. CDN police cars do a flag on them but it is small and discrete and on the fender or the trunk lid. This looks like a Giant Hot Wheels SUV from an auto show. That is what has irked some people. Normal wording in reflective paint would have been fine. It just looks odd at first glance.

Mention something about race and mistreatment and out comes the experts at racism. Being a racist also involves dictating and controlling all racial dialog. It's left over baggage from slavery.

I won’t say it’s racist but what I will say is that I’m not surprised that a bunch of white guys (I won’t use code words Darringer) don’t understand that the American flag can mean different things to different people in and out of America. People get so caught up in the symbol and lose the meaning. The Nazis flew a flag that means something horrible to the Jews, the KKK flew the American flag, held a bible in one hand and matches in the other, the confederates flew a flag that’s still being flown today and that literally is the flag of the losers history. But hey you like it so it’s okay. GTFOHWTBS. If you take an in depth look at the history of policing in this country in combination with the atrocities that have been committed under the flag you might have a different perspective. But you won’t do that because history has taught you that America and the police are always right and how dare anyone tell a white guy he’s wrong about his country.
I don’t personally care if the police fly the flag on the car or not. I’m still scared every time I’m pulled over, the flag just reinforces that My so called rights can be violated at anytime. It lets me know who I’m dealing with evetytime I get too comfortable.

i believe in the right of these people to complain as it's free speech, but there is no better site to me than that flag, it hangs right outside my front door everyday. Freedom is the ability to be completely oblivious to how great you have it and see that privilege as misery and attack.

If the US flag offends you and you live in this country, MOVE OUT to another country were they will put up with your BS. Me and many others have fought for that flag so you can bitch and whine all you want and that is OK with me. But if this flag and this country really offends you, then move out.
